Job Title: Remediation Specialist (Environmental Specialist Level II)

Job Description

This role involves experience in environmental issues in design, construction, or operation of landfill installations, including permits for plants, utilities, water treatment, wastewater treatment, petrochemicals, oilfield production, and hazardous disposals. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting/preparing Environmental Impact Assessments.
• Conceptual site modelling.
• Environmental Control for projects, ensuring compliance during all stages of the project.
• Successful execution of remediation programs, including remedial design/implementation, excavation supervision, and confirmatory sampling.
• Maintaining regular communication with clients through verbal and written correspondence, including presentations.
• Interpretation of environmental regulations and investigation results to meet clients' requirements.
• Quality assurance within the provisions and guidelines of the quality assurance system relevant to the Contaminated Sites Group.
• Familiarity with Worley's safety manuals and compliance with Worley's Health & Safety policies.
• Mentoring less experienced members of staff and delivering training programs for local Kuwaiti personnel.

Preferred qualifications include:

• An engineering degree and/or an equivalent diploma from an accredited college or recognized university.
• Experience with remediation technologies for oil-contaminated soil.
• Experience in developing strategies for remediation programs.

You will interact effectively with people of all nationalities & cultures, using clear, fluent, and expressive verbal and written language to convey information and ideas. You should be familiar with the necessary engineering and organizational controls required to prevent damage to the environment and have experience in environmental issues related to landfill installations. You will demonstrate an ability to lead/coach/mentor colleagues and/or staff, work under tight time constraints, and manage multiple priorities. You will be willing to engage and manage clients as required by the needs of the business.
