Senior Toolpusher Job Description

Responsibilities

• Direct and control all operational functions of the rig, including drilling, movement, and maintenance.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and compliant drilling operations according to industry regulations and company policies.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of rig crew members to maintain high productivity and safety standards.
• Oversight of Toolpushers on both day and night shifts to ensure consistency in operations and safety practices.
• Maintain equipment functionality and reduce downtime by monitoring and addressing any issues that may arise during drilling operations.
• Foster a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring team members adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
• Act as primary liaison between the rig crew and Rig Manager for effective communication and coordination of operations.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure aligned and supported drilling operation.
• Maintain accurate records of drilling activities and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Additional technical or vocational training in drilling operations is preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a Senior Toolpusher with mandatory experience in 3000 HP and above in deep drilling land rig operations.
• Valid Well Control Certification (IWCF or IADC).
• Safety training certifications (e.g., H2S, First Aid, Firefighting).
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
