Contracts Manager

Job Description

• Contract Drafting and Negotiation : Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Ensure contracts are clear, comprehensive, and legally binding.
• Contract Management : Oversee the execution of contracts, ensuring all terms are met by all parties. Monitor contract timelines, budgets, and performance to ensure compliance.
• Risk Management : Identify and assess risks associated with contracts and suggest mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and mitigate financial risks.
• Liaison and Communication : Act as the primary point of contact for all contract-related matters. Maintain communication between internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Contract Performance Monitoring : Track progress and performance of contracts, ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met. Resolve any disputes or issues that arise during contract execution.
• Legal Compliance : Ensure contracts comply with industry regulations and legal standards. Keep up to date with laws and regulations affecting contracts.
• Cost Management : Ensure contracts are delivered within budget by monitoring costs and expenditures. Negotiate terms that protect the financial interests of the organization.
• Contract Modifications : Handle amendments or modifications to existing contracts as needed. Review any contract changes or extensions with all involved parties.
• Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of all contracts and related documentation. Provide regular reports to senior management on contract status and issues.
• Manage and resolve any contractual disputes, aiming for a fair and timely resolution.
• Work with legal teams when necessary to handle contract disputes or breaches.
• Team Collaboration and Supervision : Work with other departments (e.g., procurement, legal, project management) to ensure contract terms are understood and implemented. Supervise and train junior contract staff, ensuring adherence to procedures and best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor of Law with a minimum of 15+ years of experience in the same field. Membership in the Kuwait Society is mandatory, or the college from which the candidate graduated must be accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation).
