Roles and Responsibilities Supervises effectiveness of workflow and sequence of service during service periods and provides constant hands-on support. Provide knowledgeable, friendly, professional and efficient F&B Service to all guests ensuring maximum guest satisfaction in a manner consistent with Jumeirah standards. Maintain efficient workflow by adhering to the Sequence of Service and all timeframes and standards detailed in relevant SOPs in the F&B Standards Manual. Anticipate customer needs and expectations correctly, including those with special needs, and provide appropriate products, services or information. Identify and take all opportunities to enhance the quality of service (upselling, guest recognition, resort knowledge). Informs Outlet Manager / Assistant Manager of any complaints, negative feedback from guest after they first try to resolve. Maintain good knowledge of the menu to answer questions the guests may have. Maintain a thorough working knowledge of F&B SOPs and ensure these are upheld at all times through constant observation and coaching. About You:The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: Seasonal Contract: from October to May. Two years of experience in the same position in a restaurant sector: within a 5-star hotel, luxury restaurant, or upscale bar setting. Fluent in English and an additional international language is a plus. Knowledge of Food and Beverage applications: Micros and Sevenrooms. Passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. Desired Candidate Profile Guest Service: Providing attentive and personalized service to guests, ensuring their needs are met throughout their dining experience. Order Management: Taking and processing orders accurately, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages. Staff Supervision: Assisting in training and mentoring junior waitstaff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. Menu Knowledge: Having in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings, to make informed recommendations to guests. Table Setup and Presentation: Ensuring tables are set properly and in accordance with restaurant standards before guests arrive. Complaint Resolution: Addressing any guest complaints or concerns promptly and effectively, escalating issues to management if necessary. Collaboration with Kitchen Staff: Communicating with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely service. Sales Techniques: Utilizing upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue. Cleaning and Maintenance: Assisting with maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, including resetting tables and keeping the area organized. Reporting: Keeping records of orders and payments, and assisting in closing duties at the end of the shift.
