Job DescriptionRole TitleData AnalystReports ToProject Manager/ Database LeadDirect ReportsNAIndirect Reports(Up to N2)NARole PurposeThe purpose of this role is to interpret data and turn it into information (reports, dashboards, interactive visualizations, etc.) which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions.DoManaging the technical scope of the project in line with the requirements at all stagesGather information from various sources (data warehouses, database, data integration, and modeling) and interpret patterns and trendsDevelop record management processes and policiesBuild and maintain relationships at all levels within the client base and understand their requirementsProviding sales data proposals, data insights, and account reviews to the client baseIdentify areas to increase efficiency and automation of processesSet up and maintain automated data processesIdentify, evaluate, and implement external services and tools to support data validation and cleansingProduce and track key performance indicatorsAnalyze the data sets and provide adequate informationLiaise with internal and external clients to fully understand data contentDesign and carry out surveys and analyze survey data as per the customer requirementAnalyze and interpret complex data sets relating to customers' business and prepare reports for internal and external audiences using business analytics reporting toolsCreate data dashboards, graphs, and visualizations to showcase business performance and provide sector and competitor benchmarkingMine and analyze large datasets, draw valid inferences, and present them successfully to management using a reporting toolDevelop predictive models and share insights with the clients as per their requirementStakeholder InteractionInternalProject Manager/ Database LeadRegular reporting & updatesExternalClientsClient engagement reviews, etc.DisplayLists the competencies required to perform this role effectively:Functional Competencies/ SkillLeveraging Technology: Knowledge of current and upcoming technology (automation tools and systems) to build efficiencies and effectiveness in own function/ Client organization - ExpertProcess Excellence: Ability to follow the standards and norms to produce consistent results, provide effective control and reduction of risk - ExpertTechnical Knowledge: Knowledge of various programming languages/software (Python, Microsoft Excel, VBA, Matlab, SQL, etc.) and tools on data analytics - ExpertCompetency LevelsFoundation: Knowledgeable about the competency requirements. Demonstrates (in parts) frequently with minimal support and guidance.Competent: Consistently demonstrates the full range of the competency without guidance. Extends the competency to difficult and unknown situations as well.Expert: Applies the competency in all situations and serves as a guide to others as well.Master: Coaches others and builds organizational capability in the competency area.
