This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Using a good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines, and an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced, applies analytical ability to define and take appropriate supply action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines. Plans, conducts, and supervises supply technical inspections. Uses and interprets technical manuals, bulletins, and written directives in the performance of all inspections. Classifies parts condition by examining for damage or excessive wear. Suggests improvements to processes and is capable of writing/implementing those processes. Counts and sorts incoming material to verify receipts of material. Examines material to verify quantity or conformance to specifications. Compiles reports on material, equipment, and stock inventory. Prepares daily CDRL’s and other reports as required by the Performance Work Statement. Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments, using Pallet Jack, Forklift, or industrial truck. Responsible for the physical security of sensitive and pilferable material and ensures they are stored in accordance with all Army Regulations and local policy. Receives, stores, classifies, and sorts unserviceable equipment and supplies for disposal. Ensures that all employees are always in compliance with all established Safety Policies and Regulations. Safeguards all Army Property and Equipment. Must comply with OSHA, EPA, and Fire Regulations and published company work rules. Performs other duties or tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or at the direction of the Supply Manager.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education if a degree is required. High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be able to obtain and maintain valid Secret Clearance. A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and host nation Driver’s License is required. Experience: Minimum of 5 years continuous experience in supply operations. Skills: Problem-solving skills when multiple tasks need to be accomplished. Must be able to learn and operate AIS systems, GCSS-Army, and required research web links (FEDLOG, ILW, DLA FEDMAL). Must be proficient in how the repair parts system works and what to do when it doesn’t work correctly. Must be proficient in all phases of the paperwork that pertains to the classification of supply material. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Must have a working knowledge of the Army COSIS requirements. Must be familiar with appropriate ARs (Army Regulations) and TMs (Technical Manuals) concerning all supply activities. Good oral and written communication skills. Material Handling Equipment (Fork Lift Operation, Pallet Jack, Hand Truck). Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
