You'll be part of McKinsey's GEM Proposal Excellence team and will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will be a thought partner to GEM Middle East leaders to help deliver the client activation mission, supporting the overall client activation strategy and serving as the point person managing priority proposal opportunities. You will collaborate with the Practice leadership and management team, thematic experts from across the firm, and relevant firm functions such as Risk, Finance, and Legal. You will collaborate with consultants leading priority proposals. Day-to-day, your team may consist of client service team leader & members, consultants assigned to the proposal by the office through beach support, and our visual graphics teams. Alongside your alignment to GEM Practice, you will be part of McKinsey's Proposal Services path, a global community focused on growing our existing and new client relationships by enabling efficient and effective delivery of proposals. You will collaborate with other colleagues (e.g., client development advisors, proposal strategists, designers, competitive insights specialists, etc.) to shape our thinking on proposal best practices and drive continuous improvement. You will report to the Proposal Manager for GEM in Middle East.WHAT YOU'LL DOYou will be a key member of the Proposal Squad for GEM, with a focus on Middle East. In this role, you will own a portfolio of proposals in support of the GEM Practice covering all four sub-sectors that are worked in coordination with a range of collaborators. This role is a unique blend of strategy, operations, content expertise, stakeholder management, communications/design, and project management. In this role, you will collaborate with consultant teams to develop compelling and compliant proposals, either owning key content elements (e.g., executive summaries, case studies, qualifications) or leading end-to-end support. You will become a trusted advisor to consultant teams on proposal best practices and the full range of communications considerations for documents and presentations. You will be responsible to draw on the full range of assets and capabilities to ensure the "best of the firm" is brought to the proposal based on the client need, you will manage proposal performance management processes and systems (e.g., tracking, debriefs). Where needed, you will facilitate reviews with other firm functions, and conduct compliance and quality reviews. In addition, you will guide colleagues to ensure adherence to relevant procedures (e.g., file structure, archive, backup) for all proposal materials and processes; prepare templates, compliance matrices, close-out activities, and/or other administrative elements throughout proposal development based on submission requirements. You will strengthen the firm's proposal knowledge and capabilities through learning program facilitation, asset creation, knowledge codification, and/or active dissemination of best practices, tools, and methodologies and help build the firm's proposal community through recruiting, development, and coaching of team members.
