This position reports to Distribution Solutions Communication Manager Your role and responsibilities Currently we are looking for a senior professional to join ABB as Electrification Business Communications Leader for Middle East and Saudi cluster & Communications Leader for Distribution Solutions Middle East& Africa. This is dual-hat role that leads communications for ABB Electrification Business in the Middel East region as well as Middle East and Africa regional lead Division communications. This position collaborates with Commercial Leaders, Sales, Product Management, Marketing and Communications to ensure proactive and effective communications across multiple channels and stakeholders. Your responsibilities: • You will be a member of the local Electrification leadership team. You will lead a team who will report to you directly. • You will own ABB Electrification communication plan in country including the editorial calendar & Electrification narrative locally for trade media, digital communications and thought leadership. Collaborates with Country Communications for any Tier 1 or financial media relations requirements. • You will lead trade media relations and content for press releases and social media channels. You will own content for communications channels reaching broad public, such as social, websites. • Localization of global thought leadership or local development of thought leadership supporting division priorities. • Leads localization of communications campaigns, including ensuring quality/brand/narrative check when two or more divisions are involved. • You will lead communications efforts for cross divisional (2 or more) events, trade shows and conferences. Build cross-business area and functional teams to contribute to effort. • You will oversee & process for Electrification employee communications, you will be a point of contact for factories. • You will ensure positioning and impact of the electrification related content in local external and internal communications channels. Your task will be also to follow global KPIs to track and improve communications effectiveness across various media and channels as well as maintenance of effective measurement and monitoring workflow for their area of scope. • You will own the Electrification business area communications budget for the country • You will create a community of Electrification Communicators in country. • In close alignment with the global division communications team, you will be accountable for executing local Marketing Communications strategies and action plans to support the local division growth ambitions and strategy. Plan and manage the content for different states of the buying funnel - awareness, consideration, intent to purchase. • You will partner with the local sales team to lead and execute lead and nurturing campaigns, as well as events and tradeshows. Connects the dots across Electrification as needed. • Ensures positioning and impact of the local divisions related content in local external and internal communications channels in support of the local division strategy. Follows global KPIs to track and improve communications effectiveness across various media and channels. Maintain effective measurement and monitoring workflow for their area of scope. - Degree in Communications or related field and minimum 15 years of experience in the field of Communications in a B2B environment (ideally technical/industrial environment).
- Proven experience in developing and executing strategic communication across all channels - strong experience in lead and nurturing campaigns is a must.
- Proficiency in English language. Solution-focused and self-starter mindset, combined with strong written and spoken communication skills. Effective storyteller.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with on-time delivery.
- Ability to coach and advise leaders.
- Establishes quality via KPIs and can build and deliver improvement plans when needed. Has a continuous improvement mindset.
