Responsibilities:
- Record Review:
- Review and analyze patient medical records for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Identify and correct any discrepancies or errors in the records.
- Ensure compliance with medical record standards and regulations.
- Data Abstraction:
- Extract specific data elements from medical records for research, quality improvement, or reporting purposes.
- Use data abstraction tools and techniques to efficiently extract relevant information.
- Coding:
- Assign appropriate codes to medical diagnoses and procedures using coding systems such as ICD-10 and CPT.
- Ensure accurate coding to support billing and reimbursement.
