Join a team dedicated to designing and delivering immersive 3D adventure games that captivate through innovative gameplay, storytelling, and puzzle-solving. As a Game Designer, you will significantly contribute to projects that push creative boundaries and engage a global audience. Responsibilities:
- Develop adventure exploration levels filled with intricate puzzles, interactive elements, and hidden rewards.
- Ensure story elements are naturally integrated into the levels in collaboration with the narrative team.
- Prototype, test, and refine level designs using Unity, ensuring balance, challenge, and engagement.
- Build levels directly in Unity, placing assets and puzzles to craft cohesive game environments.
- Conduct playtesting sessions to gather feedback and iterate on designs based on player interactions.
- Document design processes, layouts, and flowcharts to support the production team.
- Keep abreast of the latest industry trends, focusing on adventure, puzzle, and exploration games.
- Demonstrable experience in game design, particularly in adventure and puzzle genres, with at least one shipped title.
- Strong portfolio highlighting expertise in 3D level design for adventure and puzzle games.
- Proficient in using Unity to build engaging game levels.
- A thorough understanding of level design principles, including mechanics, player engagement, and progression.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a knack for creative solutions to design challenges.
- Effective communication skills essential for teamwork across multiple disciplines.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Insight into player psychology and its impact on game design.
- Artistic capabilities such as sketching or 3D modelling are advantageous.
