We are a subsidiary of Nikkiso Company Ltd, a leading industrial manufacturer headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, with over $1.5B in annual revenue, 8000+ employees worldwide, and publicly traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.Summary/ObjectiveAs a member of Nikkiso Cryogenic Services Global Product Management Team, the Marine Market Segment Manager will be responsible for all Aftermarket marine products, including product development, marketing, commercial sales support, and contract execution. The person will work closely with the Nikkiso Cryogenic Services Regional Teams, Prime Sales, and other Functional Units to meet the dynamic needs of marine customers globally.Essential Functions/ResponsibilitiesDevelop the Aftermarket Marine Product Portfolio: initiate the marine product development effort, ensuring that the product range is the most competitive, efficient, and first choice in the market.Work closely with the regional sales teams to establish sales strategies, developing forecasts and executing plans to increase Nikkiso Aftermarket presence and market share in the marine industry.Establish pricing strategies and provide all necessary aftermarket commercial input for the regional organizations, aimed at ensuring competitiveness across different regions and growing our market share.Promote the Nikkiso Aftermarket product portfolio, including Long-Term Service Agreements.Participate in the development, tracking, and management of the Owner Benefit Package.Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and communicate customer feedback internally to identify areas for improvements.Observe and update on our competitors' products and activities.Support the development of existing and expansion of new customer base, ensuring Nikkiso is seen as a long-term business partner.Be responsible for customer asset knowledge and management for strategic optimization of Aftermarket offerings.Manage inventory in each region to ensure sufficiency and effective utilization for timely execution of customer work.Recommend, negotiate, and follow up on Global Key Account Agreements (e.g. frame agreements) with strategic customers.Serve as a primary contact and act as liaison internally and externally to manage marine aftermarket customer requests, understand their needs, ensure satisfaction, and proactively address concerns.Constantly seek and receive feedback about product performance, customer perception, and applications, to help ensure that aftermarket and prime products are constantly being improved and developed to include innovative features and added benefits to the customer.Provide sales support for the regional organizations, including customer visits.Develop training materials and programs and conduct sales training needed to increase the knowledge and competence of our sales personnel.Coordinate with the regional marine sales teams to develop, negotiate, and execute new business contracts and agreements for marine aftermarket products, leading customer clarification meetings as needed to close opportunities.Develop, execute, and maintain marketing strategies, including tools, presentations, brochures, articles, press releases, etc., related to the marine product range. Also, attend trade shows and conferences to represent and promote marine products.Liaise with product companies for updates and potential products.Coordinate with other Functional Units to become aware and knowledgeable of potential products and provide Aftermarket customer feedback to help support the delivery of product lines that have the lowest life cycle cost and the highest reliability compared to all competitors. This will include tracking warranty costs by market, application, product line, etc. to identify areas for improvement.Monitor the business through Quarterly Business Review Meetings, with detailed agendas, and relevant minutes of meeting. These review meetings should include updates on short term, medium term, and long-term goals for business development activities.Undertake ad-hoc projects, as required.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline preferred or equivalent work experience.10+ years of experience in international aftermarket sales and marketing management for a manufacturing or industrial services company.Experience in product companies or service companies is required.Track record of achieving expected sales and P&L results, including sustained growth and improvements in cost, quality, and profitability.Experience with global contract negotiations and industry standards needed.Knowledge of the NCE&IG Group's products is preferred.Physical DemandsStand, walk, sit, talk, hear, type, and write.Reach with hands and arms, bend, stand on a stool or climb, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools, or controls.Use standard office equipment such as computers, smart phones, printers, photocopiers, etc.Lift files, open desk drawers, and filing cabinets.Global travel.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of the employee for this job.
