We are looking for a Chartering Manager for Dubai Location.JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition: Chartering ManagerLocation: DubaiCategory: CharteringJob Summary:This role will be fully responsible for performing fixtures for the bulk vessels owned and chartered by the Company, as well as sourcing vessels to perform its bookings. He or she will be working in a driven and engaged team of Chartering Managers based in Santiago HQ in a great location. The Chartering Manager will keep in constant contact with brokers, charterers and owners and will be using industry-leading systems and methodology to enhance performance. He or she will be assigned to the best fitting market and client list and will be encouraged to penetrate and develop it further in the Handysize and Supramax segments.Key Responsibilities:Maximize earnings of the Operator business unitRetrieve business opportunitiesMake voyage calculations and compare possibilities in accordance with market trends and corporate policiesNegotiate charter parties with charterers/operators/brokersMake charter party details available to operatorsSourcing of single trip and short period tonnageDeveloping and maintaining client portfolioTraveling to conferences and/or shipping eventsSupport the Chartering team in performance control and reportingMinimum Requirements:Bulk Carrier Operation knowledge and experience is requiredChartering or Fixing ocean freight for Time Charter or Voyage CharterNegotiation of the Charter PartyVoyage EstimationsWeekly market review and making an internal reportGeneral sales action for building a relationship with our customers and clientsReview and Analysis of Voyage profitabilityFixing of COA and/or CVC, FFA contract and renewalDesired Skills:Excellent organizational and communication skillsStrong negotiator and ability to outperform market levelsTeam player who has the discipline to work along and meet pre-defined deadlinesAbility to achieve results in a demanding and challenging environmentAbility to work effectively under pressureAbility to use initiative and problem solveDetermination to grow within the businessExperience Requirements:5+ years experience required as a Chartering Manager
