We specialise in interior contracting and the manufacturing of bespoke joinery, metalworks, and sophisticated shop fittings.As a result of expansion in the key growth market of KSA, we are seeking to appoint experienced leaders to take our business forward. Consequently, the ideal candidate for the Environmental Engineer position (as well as other vacancies in KSA) shall be flexible and adaptable. In return, you will be rewarded with great opportunities to work on challenging projects in this key growth market.Role Summary:To conduct a comprehensive review, assessment, and analysis of work environments in order to develop effective programs and procedures that will manage, mitigate, and prevent environmental impact throughout the construction and fit-out operation.Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs) and policies to mitigate and manage environmental risks associated with construction and fit-out operations.Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAs) for construction and fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.Coordinate with environmental permitting activities, including permit applications, compliance reporting, and regulatory agency interactions.Monitor environmental performance indicators and conduct audits to ensure compliance with environmental permits, regulations, and company policies.Provide technical support and guidance to operational teams on environmental compliance requirements, best practices, and emerging environmental issues.Participate in stakeholder engagement activities and interface with clients and consultants on environmental matters.Identify and implement opportunities for environmental improvement and sustainability initiatives within the organization/project.Conduct all activities safely, in accordance with safety rules and policies, to prevent harm to self and others.Ensure organizational compliance with the requirements of environmental regulations, focusing on monitoring, record-keeping, and reporting requirements.Effectively communicate with site personnel regarding regulatory obligations, client requirements, standard best practices, etc.Develop and maintain rapport with clients, consultants, and other agencies to foster a working relationship that minimizes adversarial actions, enforcement actions, and penalties.Conduct regular inspections, in accordance with the Environmental Department procedures, of company operations to ensure regulatory compliance.Qualification and Experience:The ideal candidate for the Environmental Engineer role has the following skills, personal qualities, and experiences:A bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or equivalent.International certification in Health & Safety and Environmental Safety such as NEBOSH, CSP are preferred.Possessing knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and knowledge of the requirements and practices outlined by the ISO 14001:2015 standard.7 years of work experience in environmental safety implementation in construction projects is preferred.Strong technical and analytical skills; strong written and verbal communication skills.Able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management, regulators, and governmental agencies.Able to work independently to manage environmental activity.Good reporting and communication skills.Knowledge of applicable government regulations, and computer skills.Exhibits positivity, passion, integrity, and responsibility.We are looking forward to receiving your application for the position of 'Environmental Engineer' in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in case you meet the above-mentioned criteria.Shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
