Support Equipment Lead Company: Boeing Operations International Incorporated Kuwait Job ID: 00000435676 Date Posted: 2024-08-19 Location: KWT - Al-Mubarak Air Base, Kuwait Job Description Qualifications: This position is for a Support Equipment (SE) Lead to coordinate the maintenance and calibration of the Kuwait Air Force (KAF) Support Equipment in support of C-17 Field Services based at Al-Mubarak Air Base in Kuwait City and will require relocation to Kuwait. - Develops final scheduled maintenance visit plan, manages a minor plan and responds to customer issues.
- Identifies and manage resource requirement, parts inventory and validates parts availability with supply chain to support customer and project needs.
- Verifies work performed and administers sell-off paperwork. Receives customer inquiries regarding quality issues and performs root cause analysis. Maintains performance metrics.
- Coordinates SE maintenance requirements and plans, researches, develops, analyzes and retrofits repair solutions that comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Defines the procedures, special tooling, kit requirements, work packages, and material requirements for inspections, modifications, improvement changes, and repairs of delivered products.
- Plans and coordinates modifications, maintenance, and repair of enterprise products and assists engineering staff in planning and incorporating improvements.
- Assists project development, planning, implementation, management, and technical support activities related to SE maintenance, modifications, calibration, proof load test and repairs per established customer, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Reviews and recommends projects and proposals or aircraft Support Equipment modification.
- Manages moderately complex or multiple projects, and develops, coordinates and forecasts requirements.
- Monitors project performance and risks and takes necessary corrective action.
- Leads and manages tool room process and has knowledge of TCMAX and other toolcrib programs. Maintains tools, Hazmat, PMEL, weight check and other position requirements as directed by management or Boeing to fulfill customer and contractual requirements.
- Maintains database records for equipment status, spare part demands and the spare tool program.
- Leads and directs the work of other technicians and provides training as required.
- Works with minimal direction.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems to isolate faulty components and conduct complex functional tests by operating ground support equipment using appropriate test tools.
- Familiarity with the documentation program (e.g. AFI 21-101, 00-20-1, etc.).
- Knowledge of USAF Technical Orders and Forms and knowledge of transport aircraft maintenance programs.
- Prior experience on US Air Force and/or Boeing maintaining aircraft Ground Support Equipment.
- Experience with logistics and inventory management.
- Ability to operate forklift, crane and other vehicles as required.
- Demonstrated proficiency with database entry software systems and Microsoft operating system, including Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
