Site Resident Engineer Jobs in Abu Dhabi, UAE by Atkins Middle East | ArabJobs.com Site Resident EngineerAtkins Middle East - Abu Dhabi, UAE Posted In 29/8/2013 Apply For Job Applicants 58 Views 5985 Job Description As a provider of multi-disciplined technical services to the built environment, Atkins Middle East is committed to design excellence in the delivery of first class solutions which combine, innovation, imagination and best practice.Due to our continuing expansion we now require an experienced Site Resident Engineer to work on a variety of construction projects.Working in a multidiscipline team of designers and engineers providing a comprehensive service to our clients, this is a great opportunity to gain experience within an internationally renowned consultant, affording the opportunity to work on large and small scale multidiscipline projects, in the UAE and potentially the rest of the Middle East region.Job SummaryTo manage and implement all aspects of the Quality I HSE management systems and control site supervision service provision in support of the Site Operations Department goals for performance improvement and completion of project functions.Functional Relationships· Site Operations Director (SOD)· Deputy Site Operations Director (DSOD)· Sites Commercial Manager (SCM)· Sites HSE Manager (SHSEM)· Sites Quality Manager (SQM)· Site Area Manager (SAM)· Site Head of Disciplines (SHOOs)· Design Project Manager (DPM)· Site Contract Administrator (SCA)· Site Supervision Team Job Category Engineering Job Requirements Experience Any Career LevelSenior Job TypeFull Time Vacancies4 Open Positions Salary Negotiable GenderAny Degree LevelAny Faculty / Institute Any Major Any Age Any NationalityAny Residence Location Any Languages Any Own a CarAny Have Driving LicenseAny Job Skills • Follow up mobilisation and de-mobilisation arrangements at site.• Keep, monitor and follow up as necessary and complete records concerning the execution of the works.• Ensure the main contractor and nominated MEP contractor coordinate with all concerned Authorities Departments and ensure that their requirements are adequately and satisfactorily incorporated.• Extend the maximum possible effort to avoid contractor(s) claims for cost and/ or delay.• Review and forward with any comments all submittals including contractor design drawings, shop drawings, materials and alternative proposals submitted by contractors for all disciplines. Monitor office turnaround, follow up as necessary and issue.• Liaison with and coordination of all technical disciplines.• Hold Site Technical Coordination Meetings to discuss Contractor(s) submissions, Shop Drawings and construction related matters.• Attend Progress Meeting with the Client, Contractor(s), Project Manager (EmployerRepresentative) to monitor the progress of work against the approved programme.• Inspect the work done by the contractor(s) to ascertain that work is proceeding in accordance with the Contract Documents and accepted practice.• Issue to the Contractor(s) the necessary orders and instructions to execute the works in accordance with the Contract Documents. Instruct contractor(s) in writing to take corrective measures to rectify any defective works and or materials.
