The ideal candidate will have over 20 years of expertise in designing, developing, and managing complex water treatment systems, including seawater desalination, wastewater treatment, demineralization, and various other water treatment processes. This role demands a deep understanding of process engineering, leadership in plant startup and commissioning, and the ability to evaluate advanced technologies and systems for continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess Engineering & Design:Develop FEED and detailed designs for water treatment plants, including process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and operational philosophies.Provide technical expertise in the development of seawater desalination, wastewater treatment, demineralization plants, and other water treatment systems.Perform detailed equipment sizing calculations and specifications for water treatment units.Evaluate advanced technologies and best practices to implement improvements effectively.Conduct continuous improvement studies to identify potential problems and improvement opportunities in existing systems.Technical Leadership:Participate in design review meetings, HAZOP reviews, and hazard reviews.Drive work processes within multi-disciplined project teams to produce project-specific P&IDs.Develop and review process specifications for RFQ packages and overall RFQ input.Project Management:Lead technical bid evaluations, contractor design package assessments, and vendor offer evaluations.Manage plant start-up, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.Oversee and ensure engineering designs are consistent with project technical requirements and standards.Client & Stakeholder Interaction:Act as a technical liaison for water treatment scopes and participate in the development of plant operational logic.Interface with water treatment vendors and manage interfaces and tie-ins with customers and other plants.QualificationsEducational Background:Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering.Professional Certifications:Chartered Engineer from a recognized institution.Experience:20+ years of experience in water treatment engineering.Skills:Proficient in process and design calculations, development of PFDs and P&IDs, and preparation of technical specifications.Strong leadership skills with experience in supervising engineering teams and managing project timelines.Familiarity with industry standards and specifications from leading consulting and contracting firms.Software Proficiency:MS Office (Excel, Word, Project)Familiar with PRIMAVERA and GPS-XTM 6.1 Software for dynamic wastewater treatment modeling and simulation.We are the world's largest hydrogen producer with over 80 years of industrial gas experience.
