SAE Cape Town islooking for a committed lecturer in the area of Games developmentand Interactive media creation. The postrequires impeccability in every aspect of the qualification sacademic integrity, student support, academic content development,evaluation, moderation, assessment of learning as well assupporting SAE Institute s vision and mission.RequirementsResponsibilities:Facilitation inaccordance with the learning outcomes as set for the SAE Gamesprogramme, with a focus on practical application, theoreticalframeworks, workflow andtechnique.Mentor students,conduct consultations and facilitate learningopportunities.Researchrelevant content in order to develop learning material and lessonplans.Evaluation,moderation, invigilation and assessment oflearning.Keep accuraterecords of evidence (e.g. attendance, assessmentresults).Adhere to SAEpolicies andprocedures.Other duties asassigned by theHOD.Experience,Education andCompetency:MinimumNQF Level 8 qualification (BAHonours) Thesuccessful candidate must show evidence of good subject- anddiscipline-related skills geared towards the development of games,so as to be capable of facilitating the range of learning requiredfor the games developer course at SAE. Substantialexperience in the field of games development. (Min. 2years).Facilitationof learning experience (Min. 2years).Thesuccessful candidate must be proficient in games development anddesign.Mustbe knowledgeable about interactive mediapractices.Musthave a solid grounding in C#programming.Musthave solid experience of the Unity gamingengine.Demonstrateknowledge and experience in the Adobe software suite, such asPhotoshop, Illustrator and AfterEffectsMusthave experience in 3D and 2D workflows and games assetcreation.Musthave a body of work that demonstrates competency in modelling, gamedevelopment and game assetcreation.Musthave the technical ability and familiarity of range of softwarepackages and/or programminglanguages.Classroommanagement and workshop facilitation skills: A minimum of 2 yearsrecent experience in an academic or training environmentpreferred. Beable to execute and facilitate the normal day-to-day demands oflecturing, lesson planning, delivery, assessment, administration,student support and review.Possessoutstanding communication, interpersonal skills, administrationskills, be highly organised and possess good time managementskills.Ability todevelop and conduct appropriate practical and theoreticalassessments as well as teaching and learning materials pertinent tomodules.Exceptionalverbal and written communicationskills.Computerliterate.Collaborativeand willing to work with fellow lecturers and the HOD tosupportstudents.Musthave rights to live and work in SouthAfrica.Responsibilities: Facilitation in accordance with the learningoutcomes as set for the SAE Games programme, with a focus onpractical application, theoretical frameworks, workflow andtechnique. Substantial experience in the field of gamesdevelopment. (Min. 2 years). Facilitation of learning experience(Min. 2 years). The successful candidate must be proficient ingames development and design. Must be knowledgeable aboutinteractive media practices. Must have a solid grounding in C#programming. Must have solid experience of the Unity gaming engine.Demonstrate knowledge and experience in the Adobe software suite,such as Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects Must haveexperience in 3D and 2D workflows and games asset creation. Musthave a body of work that demonstrates competency in modelling, gamedevelopment and game asset creation. Possess outstanding communication, interpersonal skills,administration skills, be highly organised and possess good timemanagement skills. Ability to develop and conduct appropriatepractical and theoretical assessments as well as teaching andlearning materials pertinent to modules. Exceptional verbal andwritten communication skills. Computer literate. Collaborative andwilling to work with fellow lecturers and the HOD to supportstudents. Must have rights to live and work in SouthAfrica. INT
