Job SummaryThe position is responsible for the financial reporting requirements,maintaining the full financial integrity of the accounting ledgers, ensuring that all financial information (P&L and balance sheets) are accurately reported to the Finance Director. This position also develops strategies based on financial research and also guides senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term.Job Responsibilities 1Lead, manage issues, risks and impacts associated with the implementation of financial management initiatives, changes to policies, procedures, government directions, protocols and legislation.Develops and implements forecasting system to improve forecasting efficiency.Partnered with senior management to consolidate financial/management reporting initiatives to help drive strategy review.Provides insightful information and expectations to senior executives to aid in long-term and short-term decision making.Reviews financial data and prepare monthly and annual reports.Guides your Finance Team in selectively gathering relevant financial information to analyse financial results.Presents financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings.Stays up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.Works directly with the Director of Finance to ensure completion of monthly financial reporting deliverables based on the agreed timeline.Establishes and maintains financial policies and procedures for the company.Understands and adheres to financial regulations and legislation.Continuously enhance the competencies finance professionals across the organization and ensure alignment of required knowledge and skills.Manages activities of the Finance team including training and development and motivating the teamSkillsJob Knowledge & Skills• Knowledge of Accounting budgetary, management principles, practices and procedures.• Knowledge of regulatory environment and industry to develop and evaluate agency financial processes and controls• Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial dateExtensive experience in management accounting using large integrated financial accounting systems, data analysis and costing systems• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.Job Experience15 years of job-related experience and upto 7years experience in similar positions.CompetenciesCollaborationAccountabilityResilienceQualityLeadershipBudget Preparation and Reporting L4Profit Sharing Plans L4Build High-Performing TeamsBusiness Valuations L4Speed of ExecutionRisk Management L4Build Process and SystemsFinancial Control L4Provide DirectionDrive Cost OptimizationEducationBachelor's Degree in any related field
