Senior Planning/ Project Control Engineer

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Builds project baselines and gains approval of client and internal stakeholdersMaintains project schedule and resource forecasts throughout the project lifecycleAnalyses schedule and trends and communicate forecasted schedule risk to project team, drives risk mitigation proposalsChecks and controls schedule movements, compares with current scope and progress as well as with previous forecast.Also compares with productivity factors and validates accuracy of future task durationsEnsures that forecast task durations and logic are understood and committed by the task ownersProduces and communicates internal and external project reporting of project statusCollaborates with 3rd parties on project schedule interfaces including maintenance of an interface registerPresents all time schedule data in a transparent way, attends project and management reviews to present schedule statusInterface with the project management team and all key stakeholders.Manage the weekly and monthly progress report protocols / templates for progress reporting and monitoring progress against it.Manage the preparation of weekly and monthly progress reports/presentations for the client.Assisting in establishing / delivering formal reporting arrangements on project progress for the client and project.Prepare project advice for any site progress / planning concern that may impact site progress.Prepare and manage the daily escalation report for project managers.Overseeing the preparation of risk assessments and mitigation plans.
Educational Requirements:
Degree qualified either in engineering or project management discipline
