Role Purpose Lead in the shaping, sustaining and evolution of the organizational culture for continuous alignment with NEOM’s values. Foster a positive work environment that supports the well-being and engagement of employees. Promote organization wide diversity and inclusion initiatives ensuring that all key metrics that demonstrate successful D&I are reported on a strategic level. Custodian of HR policies on culture, engagement, diversity, and inclusion: keep policies updated and raise awareness across all stakeholders. Contribute significantly to creating a harmonious and successful work environment through strategic alignment, legal compliance, and a focus on continuous improvement. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES Key Responsibilities Culture & Engagement:
- Work closely with leadership, and employees to create and sustain a workplace culture that aligns with organizational values and goals, fosters engagement, and supports the well-being of employees.
- Develop and implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement, including recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and professional development opportunities.
- Raise the cultural awareness of employees.
- Design, administer, and analyze engagement surveys to assess the overall environment, satisfaction and well-being of employees. The surveys must measure the effectiveness of existing engagement programs.
- Work closely with leadership to address observations from the engagement surveys and develop action plans for continuous improvement through new, or promotion/adjusting of existing strategies.
- Conduct assessments to understand the existing organizational culture and identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement to align with the desired cultural values.
- Embed organizational culture into daily practices through communication of core values, behaviors and norms.
- Establish recognition programs that acknowledge and reward employee contributions in alignment with organizational values and promotion of a positive culture.
- Implement initiatives promoting employee well-being and work-life balance. Offer fitness programs, mental health support, and stress management initiatives.
- Develop transparent education and communication strategies that keep employees informed of the Employee Value Proposition.
- Lead in development and implementation of diversity and inclusion strategies that are a visible part of NEOM’s overall reputation and brand image.
- Promote a positive work environment by addressing any inherent or observed inequities.
- Foster an environment where diversity is valued and contributes to enhanced employee engagement.
- Collaborate with HR and management to develop recruitment and retention strategies to attract and retain diverse talent. Train hiring managers and HR staff on fair recruitment practices that are sensitive to D&I.
- Adopt strategies that foster an inclusive and diverse workplace. Provide training, resources, and support to create an environment of equity and belonging.
- Develop and regularly update metrics for measuring the effectiveness of diversity and inclusion initiatives and periodically report on the strategic impact of these metrics as they evolve.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Develop, update and maintain NEOM policies that foster diversity, addressing harassment, and ensuring the protection of minority groups.
- Serve as a consultant to underrepresented groups, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued.
- Represent NEOM at various career events to promote diversity and attract a diverse talent pool.
- Ensure compliance with country regulations on diversity and equity to uphold legal standards and promote a fair and equitable workplace
- Understanding of organizational culture dynamics
- Familiarity with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles
- Ability to shape, sustain, and evolve organizational culture.
- Leadership ability to guide cultural changes and lead teams.
- 10-15 years' experience in employee engagement and culture
- Experience in human resources roles, especially those focused on employee engagement, culture development, talent management, or org development.
- Experience in development of DEI principles and strategies, and integrating diversity and inclusion initiatives into organizational culture
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A Master’s degree is a plus
