We are looking for OIM for a jack up rig in Qatar. This is a short-term only 1 hitch (28-35 days).
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for enforcing safety regulations and ensuring compliance with industry standards and government regulations. They oversee safety training, emergency response procedures, and the implementation of safety policies to minimize risks and maintain a safe working environment.
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the rig, including coordinating drilling activities, maintenance tasks, and logistical support. They work closely with the drilling contractor, rig crew, and other personnel to ensure smooth operations and efficient utilization of resources.
- Responsible for the management and welfare of the rig's personnel. This includes supervising crew members, conducting performance evaluations, addressing personnel issues, and ensuring proper crew rotations and relief.
- Plays a role in budgeting and cost control measures to optimize rig operations within financial constraints. They work closely with the rig's management team to monitor expenses, control costs, and identify areas for efficiency improvement.
- Serves as a point of contact between the rig and onshore management. They provide regular updates, reports, and communicate any issues or incidents to the appropriate stakeholders. Effective communication with the crew and contractors is also essential for maintaining operational efficiency and safety.
Requirements:
- Experience on Jack up rigs, min 2 yrs as an OIM
- Valid OIM license
- Valid OPITO Bosiet/H2S/OGUK Medical/Seaman's Book
