Senior Capital Accountant Role Purpose: To support the Capital Accounting Manager and be r esponsible for handling all project accounting matters for specified business/businesses (Region, Sector(s), or delivery Division). Key Responsibilities:

Support Capital Accounting Manager in coordinating with Commercial, Technical, and Finance teams for accurate and timely financial management of projects.
Apply Transactional & Financial Accounting Principles, including IAS16 and IAS36 interpretation, for proper cost capitalization, valuation, reconciliation, and controls.
Collaborate with commercial and technical teams to monitor project progress from an accounting perspective, reviewing cost estimates and accruals.
Utilize SAP S/4HANA, PS (Project System), and Oracle PMIS for analyzing Capital Work in Progress on assigned projects.
Facilitate the transfer of CWIP to Fixed Assets in collaboration with Commercial, Technical, and Fixed Asset Accounting teams.
Contribute to annual project budget preparation and support Procurement and Accounts Payable teams.
Assist in financial analysis and completion of assigned activities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business Administration;
Professional qualification preferred;
Experience using a project-based ERP solution, ideally SAP PS;
Minimum of three years of experience working in a corporate organization in the project accounting function.
Good working knowledge of CAPEX and OPEX and IFRS standards
Knowledge of project based accounting and WBS heirarchy
