Specialist - IT Services

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineer, or related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the same or related field.
• Proficient in English and Arabic.

• Determine network infrastructure/resource requirement based on KFAS’ IT plan to create a reliable, streamlined, and interconnected network. Work with the infrastructure administrative to offer induction and support on changes, to maintain the infrastructure, and to optimize it to meet KFAS’s expanding business need.
• Perform and integrate configuration of hardware and software components of KFAS’s helpdesk system in coordination with Infrastructure Administrators to further align the system with the organization's needs and for better integration with other existing IT systems; Monitor system performance and coordinate with the help desk officer to optimize helpdesk systems by streamlining operations and automating them to reduce response times, reduce the volume of incoming tickets, and facilitate user satisfaction within KFAS’s environment.
• Provide technical support in the design and execution of projects and activities related to IT Infrastructure (System & Network), software development, database servers, and different computer systems.
• Diagnose system errors, software glitches, and hardware malfunctions in computer systems; Provide effective solutions to restore normal functionality.
• Ensure the technical documentation of issues, troubleshooting processes, diagnosis, root causes, and resolution methods to facilitate future maintenance and to serve as references.
• Provide expert technical support to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and network-related issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operations.
• Collaborate with IT support teams to resolve escalated technical challenges effectively.
• Hardening computer systems created and optimized with robust security measures and address potential weaknesses.
• Support infrastructure administrator in implementing backup strategies and systems to regularly back up critical data and ensure data recovery in case of data loss or system failure.
• Assist in performing the testing of DR (Disaster Recovery) rehearsals as required.
• Source, identify, and propose the selection and management of computer system vendors and third-party service providers to fulfil KFAS's information systems objectives while ensuring strict adherence to all policies and procedures. Ensure the identified vendors and third-party service providers are aligned with the specified criteria.
• Ensure the systems operates within specified warranty terms and user expectations; execute warranty procedures by actively monitoring computer system performance, identifying potential issues, and taking prompt actions to rectify them.
