PMC Lead Instrument and Control Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION
Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Lead Instrument and Control Engineer with extensive experience in the oil industry. This role will be part of ADNOC Offshore UZ 1.2 MMBD expansion project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and supervise a team of relevant discipline engineers
- Responsible for providing expertise and ensures the application of correct standards in all FEED / EPC deliverables in the design and development of projects associated with Oil and Gas production
- Supervise the work of relevant discipline Engineers and Superintendents and ensure that quality and standards are maintained, and cost-effective solutions are adopted
- Fully understands the COMPANY HSE policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility
- Ensures that work under his control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner
- Design and check all Instrument and control work on project
- Execute assigned work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures, DDI and Standards, including Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control, within the man-hour and cost budgets and the project schedule targets
- Prepare instrument index
- Develop data sheets, instrument sizing, and prepare material requisitions for all instrument items including Control Valves, Relief Valves, Flow elements, Level instruments, Temperature instruments, Analyzers and DCS / ESD / F&G systems
- Manage Technical Bid Evaluation of all items
- Review other discipline drawings such as Equipment datasheet
- Guide the designers for the preparation of Instrumentation drawings and deliverables
- Prepare and check all Instrument drawings / documents and ensure that the quality of design and drawings produced for enquiry and fabrication purposes is of satisfactory standard
- Attend coordination meetings and engineering review meetings with supplier as required
- Assist Procurement Department with the expediting of supplier documents
- Review and approve supplier documents for Instrumentation
- Ensure effective and efficient Inter-discipline coordination including coordination with client engineer
- Review instrument aspects of package unit supplier's drawings
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree in Instrument or Control Engineering
- More than 15 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas upstream industry
- Minimum of 5 years experience in PMC or / and direct client role
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of offshore instrument and control system design and analysis
- Thorough awareness of international codes and standards
- Familiar with the typical software packages that are used for offshore instrument and control system design
