Eligible Candidates :

University Graduate, Licensed Teacher

School Requirements :

Education Required: Bachelor
Minimum Teaching Experience: 2 years of teaching experience
Major: Education - Foundation Phase
Required Certificates: Teaching Credential / License, TESL / TEFL Diploma Level, Other Certification

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree with a valid teaching certificate / license in elementary education and / or related field.
A minimum of two years of current, full-time related teaching experience.
Teaching experience in an American curriculum school is preferred.
IELTS or TOEFL for non-native teachers (6.5 for subjects taught in English & 7.5 for English subjects).
Experience with current best practices, teaching materials, and instructional strategies as well as recent professional growth activities.

Competency Required :

Commitment to innovation in Teaching and Learning supporting initiatives, with a positive attitude and willingness to promote life-long learning.
Focused instruction and assessment on student learning.
Ability to work independently and safeguard confidential information.
Proficient in IT for productivity and as a tool to facilitate learning.
Awareness of current trends and developments in education.
Ability to provide various materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use.
Commitment to the highest standards of professional practice and the development of a collaborative school culture.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills, and an ability to work with diverse groups.
Fluency in both spoken and written English.
Exhibits self-motivation, high work standards, and attention to detail.

Job Description : Duties and Responsibilities :

Teach all areas of the elementary curriculum.
Establish and enforce rules for behavior, policies, and procedures to maintain order among students.
Observe and evaluate students’ performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
Instruct students individually and in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet students' varying needs.
Read books to entire classes or small groups.
Provide various materials and resources for students to explore and use in learning activities.
Plan and conduct activities for balanced instruction and demonstration.
Confer with parents or guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve students' behavioral and academic problems.
Prepare students for later grades by encouraging exploration of learning opportunities.
Establish clear objectives for all lessons and communicate those objectives to students.
Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development.
Prepare objectives and outlines for courses of study, following curriculum guidelines.
Guide and counsel students with adjustment and academic problems.
Instruct and monitor students in the use and care of equipment and materials.
Identify students showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems.
Maintain accurate and complete student records, and prepare reports as required.
Prepare materials, classrooms, and other spaces to facilitate creative play and learning activities.
Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in the development of programs.
Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress.
Attend professional meetings to maintain and improve performance.
Perform break duties as scheduled by the section’s administrators.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and superiors.
