Good working knowledge of financial systems. Understand the inter-relationship between time cost and commercial aspects of the project life cycle. Working knowledge of Primavera. Experienced in the use of SAP Finance and Project modules. Technical experience in Cost Management services across complex infrastructure. An understanding of industry benchmarks/best practices, Cost and Work Breakdown Structures, and methods of measurements (e.g. RMM, NRM etc). Growing network within the sector. An aptitude to apply innovation, technical excellence, and exceptional service delivery. Experience of monitoring, analysing, and controlling cost performance against set targets. Examples of identifying/applying cost efficient solutions. Collaborative behaviours to interface with multi-disciplinary teams. Awareness of the challenges and opportunities in the industry. Commercial, quantity surveying, and/or finance skills, with working knowledge of the construction industry, and an understanding of Standard Forms of Contract (NEC/FIDIC/IChemE). Awareness of performance measurement of projects using Earned Value Management (EVM) and similar techniques. Actively broaden your experience and expertise in line with the core competencies. Have a developing knowledge of legal and technical matters relevant to the work you do, and the law of the region or country in which you practice. Participating in relevant internal/external training initiatives. Applying the concepts of quality assurance and environmental management. Supporting the client relationship and service delivery. Helping grow our service and sector-focused teams. Actively engaging within a project delivery environment. Mentor and develop Assistant Cost Managers and Cost Managers within the client team. Degree qualified with an Engineering degree. Relevant experience in Project Controls and/or Project Delivery, preferably in a highly regulated environment. Evidence of strong engineering background, ideally within a safety/regulated environment. High level of numeracy and excellent analytical skills. Excellent MS Office skills and well versed in the preparation of reports and information using packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Exhibits a strong awareness of the level of interaction required with the project team function to support the successful delivery of projects. The ability to reconcile cost information as it applies to the programmes of work. Proficient in the use of estimating, scheduling, programming and risk tools. Proficient in the use of Earned Value Analysis. Self-motivated with good interpersonal skills working in a team environment. Good attention to detail with good time management skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Able to use initiative. Ability to work flexibly within the demands of the project. #J-18808-Ljbffr
