Job Title : Data Center Architect Location : Qatar (Onsite) Job Type : Full-Time Introduction : We are seeking an innovative and highly skilled Data Center Architect to join our dynamic team in Qatar. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge data center designs and infrastructure projects, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. If you are passionate about building next-generation data centers with the latest technologies and thrive in a fast-paced, onsite environment, this is the perfect role for you. Key Responsibilities :
- Design & Architecture : Lead the design and architecture of state-of-the-art data centers, integrating advanced technologies such as cloud-native solutions, hybrid cloud environments, virtualization, and AI/ML for automation and optimization.
- Infrastructure Planning & Development : Plan, design, and implement highly efficient, scalable, and reliable data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, storage, and networking solutions.
- Technology Evaluation & Integration : Select and integrate the latest technologies, including edge computing, 5G, SDN (Software-Defined Networking), and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to meet business and performance goals.
- Automation & Orchestration : Utilize automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes to manage and streamline data center operations and deployments, ensuring optimal performance.
- Security & Compliance : Ensure robust security protocols are in place to protect data center infrastructure and meet industry standards (ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR). Oversee vulnerability management and disaster recovery planning.
- Capacity Management & Optimization : Monitor infrastructure utilization and manage capacity planning to ensure scalability and resource optimization, supporting growth demands.
- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams (IT, operations, and engineering) to ensure alignment between the data center architecture and enterprise technology strategy.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity : Design and implement disaster recovery strategies and maintain business continuity to ensure high uptime and resiliency for mission-critical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data center architecture, infrastructure design, and management.
- Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack), and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in network design , software-defined networking (SDN), and high-availability systems.
- Proficient in data center management tools (DCIM, BMS, ITSM solutions) and monitoring technologies.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS).
- Experience with server hardware (rack-mounted, blade, HCI) and storage solutions (SAN, NAS, cloud storage).
- Proficiency in automation frameworks like Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
- Knowledge of energy-efficient practices and cooling technologies for sustainable data center operations.
- Familiarity with edge computing and integration into data center infrastructure.
- Knowledge of AI/ML technologies for infrastructure optimization.
- Certifications such as Cloud Architect , Data Center Professional (CDCP/CDCS), CCNP , or CCIE .
- Experience with 5G technologies and IoT in data center environments.
- Exposure to network security protocols and practices (e.g., firewalls, DDoS mitigation).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying and solving complex infrastructure challenges.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
