Alchemy are proud to be working alongside a prestigious company based in Dubai, responsible for a prominent artwork collection. This individual will oversee the artwork maintenance, documentation and conservation using strong communication skills and having extensive knowledge in the sectors. Responsibilities:
- Oversee collection maintenance including care and preservation for a range of items such as artwork, artefacts, and documents.
- Monitor handling of items, development of custom mounts when needed and object labelling.
- Documentation and cataloguing, including maintaining detailed records, entering data into the Collections Management Database and developing condition reports with images.
- Managing inventory with regular and spot checks to ensure reliable reports.
- Overseeing conservation by collaborating with relevant professionals, conducting visual inspections and flagging concerns if required.
- Establishing security and risk compliance by implementing security protocols to ensure the collection is secure.
- Bachelor's degree in Art History, Library Science, Museum Studies or other related fields.
- In-depth understanding of cataloguing standards, conservation principles, security protocols and suitable practices.
- Proficient in collection management software.
- Strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills.
