Full job description
Responsibilities
- Fleet Management : Oversee the maintenance, cleanliness, and availability of rental vehicles, ensuring that all cars are in optimal condition. This includes regular inspections, servicing, and coordinating repairs as needed to maintain fleet safety and quality standards.
- Staff Supervision and Training : Manage a team of rental agents, customer service representatives, and drivers. This includes scheduling shifts, providing training on customer service protocols, vehicle handling, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Customer Service Management : Ensure high-quality customer service is provided at all times, including handling customer complaints, processing reservations, addressing concerns about rental terms, and resolving any issues related to vehicle rentals or returns.
- Inventory and Financial Control : Monitor the financial performance of the rental fleet by tracking rental rates, inventory turnover, and profitability. Work with accounting to ensure accurate billing, invoicing, and payment processing, while optimizing fleet utilization to maximize revenue.
- Compliance and Safety : Ensure all rental operations comply with local, state, and national regulations, including insurance policies, vehicle registration, and licensing requirements. Stay informed about industry standards and implement safety procedures to ensure a safe rental experience.
- Reporting and Analytics : Analyze performance data related to fleet utilization, customer satisfaction, and overall business operations. Prepare reports for senior management, making recommendations for operational improvements, cost reductions, and increased customer satisfaction.
