OverviewM42 is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Internal Audit to lead the evolution of our Internal Audit department. This senior leadership role will be instrumental in developing the vision, strategy, structure, and team of the department, ensuring alignment with M42's strategic goals. In addition, you will direct the day-to-day operational activities of the function and take on more complex aspects of larger audits or conduct more sensitive reviews independently. You will direct and contribute to a comprehensive program of internal auditing and serve the Board of Directors in its responsibility for oversight and leadership.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and lead the Internal Audit function: Design and implement policies, frameworks, and processes in line with global standards and ADAA regulations, ensuring alignment with M42's overall strategy and business needs.Set performance objectives and monitor progress: Collaborate with leadership to establish audit guidelines, track progress, and refine audit methodologies to support M42's growth and regulatory compliance.Build strong internal and external relationships: Foster connections with management, regulators, and external providers to align audit objectives, enhance risk management, and ensure compliance with regulatory changes.Promote continuous improvement and collaboration: Lead training initiatives, knowledge-sharing sessions, and a culture of collaboration to enhance internal audit practices and foster excellence across departments.Empower and develop a high-performing audit team: Recruit, mentor, and empower team members, ensuring skill development, succession planning, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Provide independent assessments and actionable insights: Evaluate internal controls, risk management, and compliance, offering informed recommendations to improve the control environment and support organizational goals.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance/Accounts/Business Management (Master's preferred).10-12 years of experience in senior-level audit roles, including 5+ years leading internal audit teams.Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent certification (CPA, CISA, etc.).Strong understanding of global internal audit standards and ADAA regulations.Experience in healthcare, higher education, or financial markets is a plus.
