If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Qatar Environment Team as a Senior Environmental Consultant .
Role Responsibilities:
- Leading the preparation and review of technical reports for Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) studies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with both local and international regulations and standards.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including environmental scientists, engineers, and project managers to conduct comprehensive baseline surveys, analyze data, and propose effective mitigation measures for potential environmental impacts.
- Interpreting and applying relevant environmental regulations, actively engaging in client meetings and stakeholder interactions to address concerns and ensure compliance.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and providing technical solutions that align with their objectives.
- Effectively liaising and communicating with key client representatives to understand and manage their needs and deliver projects on time as the Project Manager.
- Demonstrating to clients and stakeholders a thorough technical understanding and implementation of environmental services, including the effective presentation of technical information to diverse audiences, both internal and external.
- Performing the role of a Project Manager by leading and managing the work with the project team and other relevant stakeholders to achieve positive project outcomes.
What You Will Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of working experience in an international environmental consultancy, with a preference for candidates who have experience working in the Middle East region and/or on oil and gas projects.
- Demonstrated track record in planning, coordinating, budgeting, invoicing, and management of environmental projects.
- In-depth knowledge of local and international environmental regulations and standards, staying informed about relevant emerging environmental regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
- Exceptional technical writing skills, particularly in the preparation of EIA/ESIA reports, with a proven ability to communicate complex environmental concepts clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively presenting technical information to diverse audiences including clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
