Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and innovative Category Manager - Private Label to lead the development, growth, and management of our Grocery section- private label portfolio in the UAE. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving sales, profitability, and customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality, competitively priced products that align with our brand strategy. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category strategies for private label products to achieve business goals and maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to create exclusive, high-quality products under the private label.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, gaps, and customer needs, ensuring the private label assortment remains competitive.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to optimize cost efficiency and quality.
- Oversee the product development process, from concept to launch, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Monitor sales performance and key performance indicators (KPIs) for private label products, implementing improvements as needed.
- Work closely with marketing, merchandising, and operations teams to create and execute promotional campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards for all private label products.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Category Manager, Buyer, or Product Manager in private label or grocery retail.
- Strong knowledge of private label product development, market trends, and customer preferences.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with retail management systems.
- Understanding of local and international food safety and quality standards.
