Lead Technical Architect – Residential Projects Role Overview The Lead Technical Architect will leverage their extensive expertise in residential projects to oversee the review, coordination, and verification of all design disciplines. This role is crucial in ensuring that all design drawings adhere to the highest standards, comply with regulatory requirements, and meet the specific needs of residential developments. The Lead Technical Architect will collaborate closely with both internal design teams and external stakeholders, resolve technical issues, and provide strategic guidance throughout the entire project lifecycle—from design to project handover. Key Responsibilities

Coordination of Design Disciplines: Lead the review and coordination of all design disciplines for residential projects, ensuring that all aspects of the design are integrated and aligned. Resolve any design issues within the established review timeline.
Design Quality Assurance: Oversee that all detailed design drawings for residential projects meet the required design standards, regulations, and authority requirements, working closely with the design team.
Material and Specification Review: Evaluate and verify construction materials against design documents, ensuring alignment with specifications and the Bill of Quantities (BoQ).
Technical Inquiries Management: Provide expert guidance on technical inquiries (RFIs) that arise during the project lifecycle, offering solutions from the design stage through to project completion and handover.
BIM Coordination: Review and manage BIM-based drawings, identifying and resolving any clashes or issues between different design disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
Technical Detail Support: Advise the design team on the preparation of necessary technical details, supporting the development of high-quality residential designs.
Industry Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in residential construction, incorporating innovations where appropriate.

Person Specification Functional Pre-Requisite Skills:

Technical Expertise: Proven experience in leading design coordination and verification, specifically within residential projects, with in-depth knowledge of materials, construction standards, and local authority requirements.
Design Software Proficiency: Expertise in using design tools such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), AutoCAD, Adobe PDF Pro, and BIM programs for reviewing and coordinating design work.
BIM and Revit Experience: Strong experience in using BIM software (especially Revit) for design coordination, clash detection, and resolution, ensuring smooth integration of all design disciplines.

Internal: Collaboration with the design, engineering, and project management teams.
External: Coordination with external stakeholders, including suppliers, procurement teams, consultants, and contractors.

Educational Qualifications:

Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (BS in Architecture).

Experience:

Over 10 years of experience in technical design coordination, with significant exposure to residential projects, including large-scale developments, luxury residences, and mixed-use residential buildings.
