Job Description Department: Campus Services Reports to: Executive Director of Human Capital and Facilities Management Scope And Purpose: The Security / Control Room Supervisor aims to manage a team of security personnel, delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and conducting daily briefings. They respond to incidents, monitor CCTV and security systems, and perform regular patrols to identify potential breaches. Job Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and Surveillance: Monitor security and surveillance systems and equipment, such as CCTV cameras, alarms, access control systems, and other monitoring tools to detect and respond to any security threats or breaches.
- Incident Response and Emergency Management: Coordinate and direct response efforts in the event of a security incident or emergency, notify appropriate personnel or authorities, and provide accurate information for an effective and timely response.
- Communication and Coordination: Maintain channels of communication with security personnel, emergency services, and other relevant stakeholders, coordinating security-related activities and sharing information with other departments or external agencies.
- Development and Implementation of Security Policies, Procedures, and Protocols: Ensure security measures are in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements, oversee enforcement of security policies, and educate employees on security awareness and compliance.
- Training and Development: Train control room operators or security personnel on security system operations, emergency response protocols, and adherence to security policies. Organize drills and exercises to improve team readiness and evaluate performance.
- Team Management: Assign tasks, provide guidance and support, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a positive work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; higher education or certification in security management is an advantage.
- Relevant security licenses and certifications, such as First Aid/CPR.
- Proven experience in a security-related role, with prior supervisory or control room experience preferred.
- Proficiency in CCTV operations, monitoring systems, and incident reporting software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Clean criminal record and strong ethical standards.
- Familiarity with emergency procedures and response protocols.
- English and Arabic (an addition).
