Purpose:To advise Supervisor on the progress of all work under his/her control.CommunicationInternal Communication:Supervisor Container ServicesPort ServicesExternal Communication:NoneOccupational Health & Safety and EnvironmentAccountability:Are accountable for their acts and omissions.Responsibility:To follow agreed safe systems of work; to follow training and instructions; and to report accidents, incidents and near misses.Authority:To stop work if they think the work is unsafe.Education & Professional Qualification:Higher Secondary / DiplomaProfessional Experience:3-5 years of experience in clerical jobs, preferably in container services.Geographic Experience:N/AComputer Skills:MS OfficeLanguage Skills:English (Read / Write / Speak)Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:Good knowledge of shipping agencies.Good knowledge of Container handling services.Good knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.Good knowledge of Maritime shipping and Customs and port operations.Good knowledge of P&I clubs and other specialised Maritime bodies.Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesInventory movement updates to EBMS (QNL) & ORACLE shipping system on a daily basis.Handling of shipment clearance of special equipment like MAFI, TANKS, and PLATFORMS etc shipments, tracking updates and follow up until it is back loaded on specified time.Maintain & forward Daily Stock Report of available Empties at Port and inform Container Shipping department to nominate/provide immediate vessel/voyage calling JEAT1/T2 to load within the given 3 days free storage.Arrange back-loading of the containers (full & empty) to designated slots for backloading upon receipt of nominated vessel details from Container Shipping Department.Nominating of LCL containers to designated loading slots upon shipment clearance to Port operations.Preparing/Forwarding container list for back loading after finalized segregation & terminal discharge based on the respective lines instructions and informing the details to respective lines once it is sailed.Arranging of empty release of containers directly from Doha port to Shipper as per the special instruction from the liner.Maintaining stock of liner equipment seals and providing the same for export purpose of local shipments.Generate Full container release letter instructions for both the company & UASC.Coordinate with depots and CSC port office, and follow up the return of FCL containers released to local customers.Follow specified systems, processes and procedures, implemented in the workplace, to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and other requirements/standards.Work safely at all times, protecting the health and safety of everyone in the workplace.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
