Emergency Medical Technician

Job Responsibilities
- Operate ambulance in a safe and efficient manner, following all traffic laws and regulations
- Respond to emergency calls promptly and assess patient's condition
- Provide basic life support and emergency medical care to patients en route to hospital
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, medical personnel, and patients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of ambulance and medical supplies
- Document all patient information accurately and timely
- Assist in lifting and transferring patients onto stretchers and into ambulance
- Ensure ambulance is stocked with necessary equipment and supplies for each shift
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current on medical procedures and protocols
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic
- 2+ years of experience driving emergency vehicles
- Fluency in English and proficiency in medical terminology
- Strong technical skills in operating ambulance equipment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- Physical fitness and stamina to lift and move patients as needed
