Introduction: We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Pediatric Urologist to join our team. As a Specialist/Consultant in Pediatric Urology, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing, treating, and managing urological conditions in children. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a professional committed to providing high-quality care to pediatric patients in a supportive, dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care:
- Provide comprehensive care for pediatric patients with urological conditions, including congenital anomalies, urinary tract infections, kidney stones, voiding dysfunction, and bladder disorders.
- Perform consultations, examinations, diagnostic procedures, and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as ultrasound, CT, MRI, and urodynamics.
- Lead and participate in surgeries related to pediatric urology, including minimally invasive techniques and open procedures.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients.
- Manage pediatric patients with chronic urological conditions and offer appropriate long-term follow-up care.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatricians, nephrologists, nurses, anesthetists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care for pediatric patients.
- Provide guidance and training to junior medical staff, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
- Educate families and caregivers about the child’s condition, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Offer emotional support to children and families, ensuring they understand treatment plans and potential outcomes.
- Participate in research activities aimed at advancing the field of pediatric urology, contributing to scientific publications, and presenting at medical conferences.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in pediatric urology, incorporating new knowledge and technologies into clinical practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case reviews, and quality assurance activities.
- Comply with hospital policies, regulations, and patient safety standards.
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Board-certified or Board-eligible in Pediatric Urology.
- Additional certification in pediatric urology or relevant subspecialty is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in pediatric urology, including clinical and surgical expertise.
- Proficiency in the diagnosis and treatment of common and complex pediatric urological conditions.
