CEGELEC Abu Dhabi has been based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, since 1978. Its expertise spans electrical engineering, instrumentation, and information and communication technologies (ICT). Our main customers are in the oil, defense, and diplomatic sectors. The company belongs to the VINCI Energies network. Work environment: We're looking for an IT Manager to oversee and intervene in the client’s IT infrastructure and IT operations. The IT Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day IT operations, ensuring the reliability and security of the client's systems, and supporting the client's objectives through effective technology solutions. Main responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the company's IT operations, ensuring optimum performance and security.
Manage IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and cyber security.
Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and data protection.
Collaborate with the management team to support business objectives with technology solutions.
Lead and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, new implementations, and technology initiatives.
Ensure compliance with internal and external IT standards and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical assistance to employees, troubleshooting and resolving IT-related problems.

Education & Language(s):

Bachelor (BSC) in Computer Science or equivalent
Fluent in French (Mandatory) & English

Technical Aptitudes:

Routing & Switching

Protocols: TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, VLAN, STP, HSRP Hardware: Cisco, Fortinet, D-Link, Juniper, Aruba, Ubiquiti Concepts: Layer 2 & 3 switching, VLAN configuration, Routing protocols, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)

Network Security

Tools: Firewalls (Stateful, Next-Generation), VPN (IPSec, SSL), IDS/IPS, NAT Protocols: SSL/TLS, IPSec, PPTP, L2TP, RADIUS, TACACS+ Hardware: Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, Fortinet, Check Point, SonicWall

Wireless Networking

Tools: WLAN design, Wi-Fi security (WPA, WPA2, WPA3), RADIUS, CAPWAP Hardware: Fortinet, D-Link, TP-Link, Cisco Meraki, Aruba Concepts: Wi-Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax), Wi-Fi troubleshooting, AP deployment

Virtualization

Platforms: VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter), Hyper-V, Proxmox, Nutanix, KVM Tools: Hyper-V Manager, vMotion, Storage vSAN Concepts: Virtual machines (VM), resource allocation, clustering, HA (High Availability), disaster recovery, VM migration

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

Tools: Wireshark, SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)

Storage & Backup

Solutions: NAS (Network Attached Storage), SAN (Storage Area Network), RAID, Veeam, Acronis, Veritas Backup Concepts: Disk arrays, backup scheduling, replication, deduplication, disaster recovery, cloud backup integration Tools: Backup verification, snapshot management, offsite backups

Database Management

Platforms: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, MongoDB Tools: SQL Developer, MySQL Workbench, pgAdmin, database replication Concepts: Query optimization, database schema design, backup & restore, performance tuning, indexing

Windows Server
