Group CFO

Our client is a Large Holding Company in Qatar with diversified interests - they have more than 50 companies under their umbrella and employ over 3500 professionals. They are recruiting a Group CFO to manage their portfolio of investments and manage the overall profitability of the organisation.Responsibilities:Business partner with the CEO and the board to develop and oversee the Group's financial strategyConduct due diligence for new investments, acquisitions, disposals, and ad-hoc projectsCreate budgets and financial projections in accordance with the business planDevelop and implement internal controls to ensure efficient financial operations as per industry standardsImplement efficient technology wherever required to drive business value in alignment with the Group's goalEnsure that financial policies adhere to both national and global standardsMaintain control over taxation, accounting, and finance to guarantee accurate and timely reportingVerify the accuracy of internal reports and financial accountsOversee yearly audits and report financial findings to the boardPartner effectively with banks, government agencies, and finance bodiesMaintain cash liquidityEnsure that information is accessible on digital platformsLead learning and development of direct reports and performance management of the overall teamIdentify and manage principal business risks while ensuring compliance with legalMinimum Requirements:Bachelors or Masters Degree in Finance or Accounting or relatedProfessional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, CIMA or CA is a huge added advantageMinimum 20 years of post graduate experience, of which, at least 8 are in a senior leadership roleExperience within a Holding Company or a Diversified Conglomerate (Family Group) is a MUSTProfessional proficiency in Arabic is a huge added advantage
