Work in Kuwait is contingent upon the applicant’s ability to obtain a work permit from the State of Kuwait, which is requested on the applicant’s behalf by their employer. Effective January 1, 2021, the Kuwait Public Authority of Manpower issued new work permit regulations, informing contractors that it will not issue a work permit to any individual who is fifty-nine (59) years or older and holds a high school grade certificate or less. A bachelor’s degree or higher is required for all candidates fifty-nine (59) years or older. See Administrative Decision No. (520) of 2020 AD – Amendment to the Administrative Decision No. (552) of 2018 on Issuing the Work Permit Regulations. Candidates with a current Visa 18 (residency visa) are excluded from the education requirement. Purpose: Provides Vehicle Training and Licensing Coordinator support as required for the contract. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Ensures all training conforms to most current industry / Military standards.
- Issues and renews all Operators Certification Identification Cards (Driver Form-008).
- Trains and evaluates personnel on the operation of all NTVs, GFE and Military vehicles currently used by the Army and all heavy equipment such as cranes, heavy loaders, bull dozers, tankers, and RTCHs up to and including site relevant leased material handling equipment.
- Maintains and updates employees’ (Drivers Training Form -009).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Master Driver Trainer Certificate from an accredited agency (Military or Civilian) required.
- 5 years’ experience safely operating NTVs, Military vehicles, and MHE required.
- 3 years of training experience required.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to interact with all levels of workers.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office integrated software such as MS Word, Excel and Power point.
- Must be able to obtain an Operators Certification Identification Cards (Driver Form-008) upon arrival.
- Must have current driver’s license and endorsements to drive heavy vehicles.
- Tier 1 NACI required for all U.S. Citizens.
- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
