Consequently,the ideal candidate for the Environmental Engineer position (as well as othervacancies in KSA) shall be flexible and adaptable. RoleSummary: To conduct a comprehensivereview, assessment, and analysis of work environments in order to developeffective programs and procedures that will manage, mitigate, and preventenvironmental impact throughout the construction and fit-out operation. Duties and responsibilities : · Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPS),and policies to mitigate and manage environmental risks associated withconstruction and fit-out operations. · Conduct environmental impact assessments (EIAS) forconstruction and fit-out projects, ensuring compliance with regulatoryrequirements and industry best practices. · Coordinate with environmental permitting activities,including permit applications, compliance reporting, and regulatory agencyinteractions. · Monitor environmental performance indicators and conductaudits to ensure compliance with environmental permits, regulations, andcompany policies · Provide technical support and guidance to operational teamson environmental compliance requirements, best practices, and emergingenvironmental issue · Participate in stakeholder engagement activities andinterface with clients, and consultants, on environmental matters · Identify and implement opportunities for environmentalimprovement and sustainability initiatives within the organization/ project · Conduct all activities safely, in accordance with safety rulesand policies, to prevent harm to self and others. · Ensure organizational compliance with the requirements ofenvironmental regulations, focusing on monitoring, record-keeping, andreporting requirements. · Effectively communicate with site personnel regardingregulatory obligations, client requirements standard best practices etc. · Develop and maintain rapport with clients, consultants, andother agencies to foster a working relationship that minimizes adversarialactions, enforcement actions, and penalties. · Conduct regular inspections, in accordance with theEnvironmental Department procedures, of company operations to ensure regulatorycompliance. Qualification and Experience Theideal candidate for the Environmental Engineer role has the following skills,personal qualities, and experiences: · A bachelor's degree in environmental engineering orequivalent. · International certification in Health & Safety and environmentalSafety such as NEBOSH, CSP are preferred · Possessing knowledge of Environmental Management Systems andknowledge of the requirements and practices outlined by the ISO 14001:2015standard. · 7 years of work experience in environmental safetyimplementation in construction projects is preferred. · Strong technical and analytical skills. Strong written andverbal communication skills. · Able to communicate effectively with all levels of employeesand management, regulators, and governmental agencies. · Able to work independently to manage environmental activity. · Good reporting and communication skills · Knowledge of applicable government regulations, and computerskills. · Exhibits positivity, passion, integrity, and responsibility.
