Group: Risk ManagementDepartment: Wholesale Credit RiskLocation: Jeddah Core ResponsibilitiesReceives credit review requests, evaluates complexity of the credit proposal, and passes proposals on to the appropriate team member to ensure timely turnaround.Reviews large and complex credit proposals prepared by the business functions, and examines adherence to risk acceptance criteria (RAC) with the aim to safeguard the standards of the bank's credit portfolio.Reviews credit appraisal notes, and liaises with (Senior) Relationship Managers for any clarifications required in order to ensure transactional risks have been identified and proper mitigations established.Studies credit proposals in detail in order to ensure the financial aspects have been properly analyzed and cogent and reasoned views have been given by the (Senior) Relationship Manager in order to ensure the quality of bank's credit portfolio is within the defined risk parameters to minimize losses.Provides prompt advice and operational support to (Senior) Relationship Managers and ensures timely response to credit proposals while maintaining credit appraisal quality in order to contribute to the bank's strategic goals.Provides insights and/or recommendations on facility structure or possible caveats to the agreement with regard to general lending limits or other risk related implications and presents these to the Head of Wholesale and Market Risk for approval.Scrutinizes monthly reports (e.g. exception reports, margin trading reports, etc.) to ensure excess positions are regularized.Coordinates the liaison with HSBC SA, the concerned (Senior) Relationship Manager and external consultants for syndicated deals.Manages the liaison with the Financial Analysis team (FAS) in order to receive financial input and finalize the credit approval note.Qualifications & Requirements: Around 10 years of experience in Corporate Credit risk or Corporate Banking.
