What will you do?Quantize, prune, distill, finetuneGen AI models to optimize for edgeplatformsFundamentally understandAmazon's underlying Neural Edge Engine to inventoptimization techniquesAnalyze deep learningworkloads and provide guidance to map them to Amazon'sNeural Edge EngineUse first principles ofInformation Theory, Scientific Computing, Deep Learning Theory, NonEquilibrium ThermodynamicsTrain custom Gen AImodels that beat SOTA and paves path for developing productionmodelsCollaborate closely with compilerengineers, fellow Applied Scientists, Hardware Architects andproduct teams to build the best ML-centric solutions for ourdevicesPublish in open source and present onAmazon's behalf at key ML conferences - NeurIPS, ICLR,MLSys. We are open tohiring candidates to work out of one of the followinglocations:Sunnyvale, CA,USABasicQualifications3+ years of building machine learningmodels for business application experiencePhD,or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied researchexperienceExperience programming in Java, C++,Python or related languageExperience withneural deep learning methods and machine learningPreferredQualificationsExperience with modeling tools suchas R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipyetc.Experience with large scale distributedsystems such as Hadoop, Sparketc. INT
