Legal amp Compliance Officer - Ferns N Petals

PositionSummary:Ferns N Petals isseeking a highly qualified and experienced Legal &Compliance Officer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidatewill be responsible for ensuring the companys compliance with alllegal and regulatory requirements as well as providing strategiclegal advice and support to the organization. The Legal &Compliance Officer will play a crucial role in managing risk andprotecting the companysinterests.KeyResponsibilities: Develop andimplement compliance policies and procedures in accordance withrelevant laws and regulations Conduct regular complianceaudits and risk assessments to identify potential areas ofnoncompliance Stay updated on changes in laws andregulations that may affect the company and provide guidance to themanagement team Review and negotiate contracts andagreements with customers vendors and other third parties to ensurecompliance with legal requirements Provide legal adviceand support to various departments within theorganization Collaborate with external legal counsel andregulatory bodies as needed Investigate and resolve anycompliance issues or violations that may arise Developand conduct training programs to educate employees on complianceand legal matters Maintain accurate records of allcompliance activities and reports to the management teamProactively identify and mitigate potential legal and compliancerisks Stay updated on industry best practices and makerecommendations for processimprovementsQualifications andSkills: Bachelors degree in Lawor related field; Masters degree preferred Minimum of 5years experience in a legal and compliance role preferably in acorporate setting Extensive knowledge of relevant lawsand regulations (e.g. GDPR FCPA etc.) Strong analyticaland problemsolving skills Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills Ability to work independently andcollaboratively in a fastpaced environment Attention todetail and ability to prioritize tasks effectivelyProficient in Microsoft Office and legal researchdatabases Certification in compliance or related fieldsis a plus INT
