We are seeking an experienced Soft Services Manager to oversee and lead Facilities Management (FM) operations on our private island in the Gulf region. As the Soft Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of soft services including water features, landscaping, cleaning, pest control, waste management, and more. Responsibilities:

  • Scope Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of soft services including water features, landscaping, cleaning, pest control, waste management, and other related services.
  • Problem Resolution: Proactively identify and resolve problems, obstacles, and challenges that arise during the course of FM operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within soft services operations and implement changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the soft services team, fostering a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, and ensuring high levels of performance and productivity.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and service providers involved in soft services delivery, ensuring adherence to service level agreements and quality standards.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for soft services, optimizing resource allocation and identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and health and safety requirements related to soft services operations.
  • Environmental Sustainability: Implement initiatives to promote environmental sustainability within soft services operations, including waste reduction, recycling programs, and eco-friendly practices.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders including island residents, guests, management, and regulatory authorities, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on soft services performance, including key metrics, achievements, and areas for improvement, and present findings to management as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in facilities management, with a focus on soft services management and planning.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Knowledge of soft services operations including water features, landscaping, cleaning, pest control, waste management, etc.
  • Budget management experience, with the ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in soft services management.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Environmental Science, or a related field. Professional certifications in FM or related disciplines are a plus.
