Job Description:Our esteemed client, based in Riyadh, stands as a paragon in the tech industry, having achieved the lauded unicorn status. As a global forerunner among retail tech platforms, they are poised to redefine the retail landscape. They are actively seeking a Chief Legal Officer to navigate the complex legal terrains of their expansive operations.Duties and Responsibilities:• Provide strategic leadership to the legal department and oversee all legal matters, ensuring the company's full legal compliance.• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, ensuring the company's interests are protected.• Represent the company in any legal disputes, coordinating with external legal counsel as necessary.• Stay abreast of changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company and ensure all departments are informed and compliant.• Advise the executive team on potential legal risks and provide strategic recommendations.• Lead a team of in-house attorneys, ensuring their professional development and the overall efficiency of the legal department.• Collaborate closely with HR on employee contracts, disputes, and other HR-related legal matters.• Establish and review company policies to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation.Qualifications:• JD degree from a recognized institution and a license to practice.• A minimum of 12 years of professional legal experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the tech or retail sectors.• Strong commercial and corporate law background.• Proven track record of navigating complex legal challenges in a global context.• Exceptional negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail.• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with executives and external partners.
