AboutLaunched in Bahrain in November of 2019, Calo is on a mission to make healthy easy. We're a team of dedicated people driven by a mission to provide better, faster, and cheaper ways to access food through technology.Role overviewTo function as a Hot Chef De Partie (CDP) for the Calo Kitchen and work alongside the head chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, monitoring orders and re-stocking. The successful candidate will employ their culinary skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers' satisfaction.Main Responsibilities:Experience in safe operation of commercial ovens, steamers, boilers etc. Lead, mentor and manage Hot section teamMaintain standards for Hot section storage, rotation, quality and appearanceMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkersEnsure compliance with applicable health codes and regulationsCreating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customersPlanning, problem solving, and teamworkForecasting the Hot Requirements ahead of timeIdeal CandidateQualificationsMust have had previous experience as DCDP or CDPMust have 3-5 years of experience for the DCDP position, and 5-8 years for the CDP position within the hospitality or catering industryMust be a proficient communicator in English Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility experience is a plusKnowledge and competencyExceptional proven ability in kitchen managementAble to divide responsibilities and monitoring progressOutstanding communication and leadership skillsUp-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processesPersonalityStrong communicator Pleasant personality and able to lead with empathyPowered by JazzHRz5k2IPCMPd
