Job DescriptionScope and Objectives You areresponsible to contributes to the operational and financial aspectsof the restaurant operation. You have to offer support to theRestaurant General Manager in overseeing the overall organization,insuring the implementation and consistency of the companystandards. It is the mission and intent of this position that theincumbent will take full responsibility for all aspects of theoutlet in the absence of the Restaurant General Manager and bepro-active, creative and results driven. Key Deliverables andResponsibilities• Ensure correct grooming standards arefollowed at all times• Responsible for the smoothoperation of the outlet • Follow the Care Programme at alltimes• Follow up on all financials, LQA, Forbes andTrustYou targets• Is aware of the daily, monthly andyearly financial targets• Actively and activelycontributes towards the achievement of financial targets•All issues and negative guest feedback need to be properly reportedon Glitch system• Following up on opening and closingchecklists• Maintains the HACCP & FIFO standardsas required by the regional governing body• Handlefinancial procedures according to guidelines set by the financedepartment• Responsible for linking all facets of service,cuisine and entertainment• Assume the responsibility ofdaily operations• Handles security incidents, guestcomplaints with confidence and in a professional manner and reportsit timely manner to the direct supervisor • Assist dailybriefings for all staff prior to commencement of shift•Ensure all appropriate equipment is on hand for each serviceperiod• Assist the Restaurant General Manager ontrainings, grooming check and selection of casual labour (ifneeded)• Should be creative, confident and prepared tothink outside of the box• Following the personaldevelopment plan set by the direct supervisor• Ensure theoperational inventory is always accounted for and in immaculatecondition• Ensure the outlet is maintained at the highestlevels• Create opportunities for upselling products• Develop the direct team to strive forexcellence• Inspires heartists to create a flow of new andimproved ideas• Follow Hotel Evacuation Policy in case ofan Emergency• Ensure awareness and delivers the optimumlevels of service and guest satisfaction• Establish andmaintain effective communication across all divisions•Lead by example through a passionate, hands on approach•Assist with collecting information for the monthly P&Lreview Qualifications Personal Attributes• Motivator& role model• Positive attitude and wellspoken• Result driven• Displaysinitiative• Commitment to professional values•Team creator• Customer / people oriented•Creative / open-minded
