The EW Advisor is responsible to the QEAF EWCommander for the provision of advice and guidance on theproduction and maintenance of Typhoon Mission Data (MD) and generalEW matters. They are responsible for the planning and co-ordinationaspects of Typhoon EW based activities to support QEAF TyphoonOperations, providing integral day-to-day support. The EW Advisorwill provide EW MD lifecycle guidance helping to ensure thatTyphoon MD and associated processes are 'fit forpurpose', articulating risks to the EW Commander toensure confidence and understanding of Typhoon EW capability. Theywill be responsible for the supervision of two EW SMEs. CoreActivityThis role provides key advice andoperational guidance into the QEAF Typhoon EW capability. Theincumbent is responsible for assisting the QEAF EW Commander withthe design and continuous development of the QEAF Typhoon EW MDcapability to support QEAF Typhoonoperations.Advise on the appropriate approach toTyphoon EW data production to meet the operational and trainingrequirements of the EW Commander. These activities include theprovision of advice and support on the design, development andimplementation of management process to be utilised in Typhoon MDproduction and maintenance.Providing advice onthe translation of operational intent to EW MD requirements andspecifications in support of the EW Commander and output of theQEAF Typhoon EW Cell. Supporting all QEAF EW personnel undertakingEW production, development and testing tasks with at-elbow support.The EW Advisor is expected to maintain an up to date knowledge ofTyphoon EW equipment and capability including the operationalcharacteristics and employment of Typhoon. The EW Advisor willsupport and provide guidance on future upgrades to meet operationalneeds. The EW Advisor will also act as the EW point of contact andas a liaison across industry teams to provide responses to any EWrelated queries.Additionally, within the role ofEW Advisor, the incumbent shall endeavor to augment and support thestrategic relationships with the customer within the EWenvironment, identifying opportunities and future requirementswhere applicable.Key AccountabilitiesAssist QEAF with the design anddevelopment of Typhoon EW MD process and lifecycle.Advise/support QEAF EWCommander and Officers in all EW related aspects of Typhoon MD inorder to deliver effective EW support to QEAF Typhoon operations.Ensure that any changesto QEAF EW MD capability are fully understood by the Customer andintegrated to support the EW Commander.Review EW MD Lifecycleprocesses, highlighting changes as required to increase Operationaleffectiveness of the QEAF Typhoon EW Cell.Act as the Typhoon EWlead for contact with the Customer.Effective leadership,management and supervision of up to two EW SMEs providing EWsupport to the QEAF.Mentor subordinate staffto ensure operationally focused support to the Customer EWrequirements.
