Job SummaryPlancontrol and coordinate all activities related to helicopter supplyand safety standby vessels for marine traffic between land base NFBand remote platforms.Administer theprovision of sea transport services to transfer materials andpassengers including the coordination of boat movement locallybetween remote platforms. Plan the schedules of vessels totransport materials to Ras Laffan.Coordinatethe helicopter booking for passengers on the platform rig andmarine fleet as applicable; to transport them to Doha includingreceiving requests for platform visits checking availability ofspace and entering reservation in the Companys computerizedtracking system. Establish priorities with the concurrence ofOffshore Installation Manager in case of heavy demand forflights.Plan schedule and coordinate allhelicopter infield movements needed to shuttle personnel andmaterial to and from remote platforms. Keep accurate fuel inventoryrecords and confirm quality to ensure refueling capability isupheld. Authorize helideck clearance prior to all landings;supervise all refueling activity and comply with the helicopterlanding procedures needed to ensure this operation stayssafe.Facilitate the biannual inspection andrecertification of helifuel system by the external certificationauthority in accordance with CAP347 as well as civil aviationauthority requirement.Supervise all loadingand offloading of freight supplies and materials utilizing liftingequipment as necessary. Oversee crane operations to ensure properprocedures are used based on the type of cargo shifted. Control andaccount for International Maritime Dangerous Goods IMDGregulations.Plan and supervise all rigging andscaffolding activities throughout the platforms ensuring complianceto standards and procedures. Provide assistance to a thirdpartybiannual inspection of all lifting equipment and coordinate alldefects found.Responsible for the allocationof rooms and beds within the living quarters platform. Maintainaccurate records of all people and allocations. Monitor theperformance of the catering contractor and resolve all cateringissues in a timely manner with the objective of maintaining thehigh standards set both in quality and food preparationhygiene.Organize and execute the requiredmandatory training for new deck crews crane operators andHelicopter Landing Officers HLOs. Arrange to renew the jobcertification of banksman and craneoperators/HLOs.RequiredQualificationTechnical Diploma or HNDin engineering or similar.Internationalmaritime organization IMO certificate for transportation andhandling of dangerous/hazardous goods by seapreferred.International air transportassociation IATA certificate for transportation & handlingof dangerous/hazardous goods by airpreferred.RequiredExperienceMinimum of 5 yearsexperience in offshore logistics (Marine andHelicopter).Varied experience in handlingmaterials hazardous chemicals equipment and logistics activities insupporting offshoreoperations.This job hasbeen sourced from an external job board.More jobson
